Classic French fries double fried

In just 35 minutes you can prepare these simple, crispy fries for 4 side servings. All you need is 1kg of potatoes, oil and a little salt and you're ready to go. A delicious treat that is quick to prepare.

Ingredients

  • 1 kg potatoes (mainly waxy)
  • 500 ml oil for deep frying
  • Salt

    preparation

    Wash and clean the potatoes. Cut into strips approx. 1.5 centimeters thick. Soak the potato sticks in water for 15 minutes. Heat the oil in a deep fryer or deep pan to 140 degrees. Remove the potatoes from the water and pat dry. Fry the potato sticks in batches for about 5 minutes, drain them on kitchen roll and let them rest for about 15 minutes.

    Heat the oil to 175 degrees and fry the fries again for 2-3 minutes. Sprinkle the fries with salt and serve hot.

    Tip:
    If you're not a fan of the peel, you can of course peel the potatoes before frying.
