The classic cocktail tomato "Yellow Pearshaped" is a particularly old tomato variety that originates in the USA. It is said to have been grown there at the beginning of the 19th century.
Characteristics
As the name suggests, the "Yellow Pearshaped" produces beautiful, bright yellow fruits in the shape of pears that weigh approx. 15 - 20 g. The taste of yellow cocktail tomatoes can best be described as mildly aromatic.
Due to its pleasant taste and small size, this type of tomato is perfect for snacking straight from the plant, but also for salads, garnishing or preserving.
