This is a hybrid variety that originated in Italy. It forms beautiful panicles with lots of fruit.
Characteristics
The medium-sized, elongated fruits ripen to a bright red. The "Roma" have a low water content, which makes them particularly crunchy. The fruits of the “Roma” tomato variety are particularly aromatic in their fruity, spicy taste.
The intense aroma makes this variety perfect for making tomato paste, soups, but also for drying.
