Our beautiful tomato variety Berner Rose is, as the name suggests, originally from Switzerland. The slightly pinkish color is also the reason why the “rose” is hidden in the name.
Characteristics
The Bernese Rose variety produces larger, fleshy fruits. The shape is rather round, sometimes with slight ribs. In terms of color, as already mentioned above, it can also be convincing - the pink-red color is definitely an eye-catcher on the balcony, on the terrace or in the garden. It is not for nothing that Bernese Rose is a popular variety. The wonderfully tasting fruits are pleasantly sweet and slightly spicy, with only a slightly sour taste.
The large, juicy fruits are particularly suitable freshly sliced in a salad, cooked in a sauce or sliced on the grill.
